Great spot to view Florida in the wild. Use to be a coast watch location during WW 2. Home of Indians hundreds of years ago. Had to be tough life years ago. But no politics of TV. What a concept?

I don't know what I was expecting, but, whatever it was, I didn't find it there. With a name like Turtle Mound, I didn't expect it to be something that the Indians had started. It was a nice walk, and you could view the ocean and the intercostal waterway from the higher points on the trail.

Last stop along the way. Lovely place! Watch out for the horrific swarm of mosquitoes that come out at sunset!

Liked the depiction of the turtle nesting mounds. I was not aware of how many eggs they lay! Amazing.

You'll see a lot of reviews for state parks by me. Thats our thing. We loved this place. Loved it ! I think the major benefit is it being on the beach; we explored a bit..did a trail and went to the visitor center, i saw my first manatees (after loving here 8 yrs) and then we finished the day... Very interesting archeological site. You have to visit the vistors centre or read the plaques to know what there is to know about the site. When you get to the top there are amazing views out across the lagoon and ocean. One tip though, remember to take plenty of bug spray with you

Only minutes away from the Condos you right in the middle of mother nature. Great historic site. Gives you a very good expression of the area.

Not overly impressed with this one. Its a state park with a beach, some trails, lots of bugs, and smells that some may find offensive.
