Great Place to go and visit. We paid $10 for the car and passengers but could also have bought a National Park Pass. Great views and easy drive.

Turtle Mound is just one of the highlights on this great National Seashore. There are miles of great beaches, the Castle Windy trail and great scenery. Thank goodness that someone had the foresight to save this great treasure. Otherwise it would look like New Smyrna...More

Take the path to the left and you will find a picnic table on the edge of the Indian river. Bring a lunch. Watch for dolphins.

It's possible to get the sense of the park from the car (thirty minutes tops) but you'll get a better appreciation if you get out and walk the shore (one hour should do it). This place is mostly for people who like nature and history....More

I think there was, but if my memory is correct, it was qiete a hike from the parking lot.

The Turtle Mound is part of the Canaveral National Seashore National Park. The fee, according to their newest web site, is $10 per vehicle unless you have one of the National Park Service passes listed in the other answers... More

Right now they are on summer house - 6am to 8pm Winter hours are only until 6pm because of the earlier sunset They won't kick you out right at closing, but will ask visitors to leave shortly after to avoid issues with... More
