Hiking trails in the park are nice and generally well maintained but compared to equivalent parks in Ohio, Michigan, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado and California the trail markings are very uninformative. Playgrounds, picnic areas and rest rooms appear to be clean and in good condition.

Bicycle, hiking, and horse paths, and playground are just a few offerings at Starkey Park. Natural Preserves, camping and Stargazing events make this park special.

There are plenty of roads, paved bike paths, foot trails and yes, even a playground that makes this seem more like an urban park than a wilderness. I’m really not sure how they can call it one.
