My husband and I frequently go to Freedom Park because it is such a pleasant place to take our exercise walk while enjoying the preserved wetlands. There is a boardwalk that loops through the wetlands section that is about 8 feet off the ground so...More

The park just keeps getting better. The plants and trees have matured and the trails are in great shape. The boardwalk to the east has grown in so well that you will detect no urban sprawl..except for occasional traffic noise. Perfect spot for a stroll....More

We loved everything about this park even though it had some street noise. It had paved walkways, water features, a walk through wetlands, parking and is free

Don't get involved with the Ranger stuff. Just walk a bit and then hop back into the car. At first, was turned off by it's location: Golden Gate at Frank Goodlette. But no, realized was perfect for 10-15 minutes away from the daily hustle-bustle. Try...More

There is a sign denoting no dogs but not true, dogs are welcome. This park is not as long a walk as Gordon River Greenway but very pleasant.

This was our second visit to this park. We were fortunate to see an alligator on this visit, as well as a whole variety of turtles. There are two sides to this park: the East side is an elevated boardwalk among trees. The other side...More
