I was here in November and the Red Tide was terrible. Locals and visitors alike were affected, resulting in coughing and breathlessness when walking on the pier or beach. We saw numerous dead fish and sea birds.

The Naples Pier is not far from the historic district.
There are bathrooms,snack bar at the entrance to the pier.
It is a wide pier from which to look at the coastal views. There were lots of pelicans to watch.

We parked downtown and walked along the front and down the pier.
There is only a coffee/snack place half way along the wooden pier but the pier offers a good view of the shore and the love,y properties that back onto the sandy beach.
