This is a lovely atmosphere in which to learn about the native wildlife of southwest Fl. They offer with your ticket price which is very reasonable a 40 minute guided electric boat ride on the Gordon River which is so peaceful.

The Conservancy of SW Florida provides a gentle, but most informative interaction with the region's flora and fauna. The boat trip (included in ticket price) takes one through channels, canals and mangroves--but also along a stretch that will demonstrate the complexities of human development in houses, docks and golf courses. You will be amazed that this wilderness is within the... More

Went with 3 grandchildren and learned a lot about animals and nature. Could have done a better job directing visitors around a large complex. Our tour guide/boat captain was very knowledgeable.

Ours was great. ..short...visit. We went with our son and daughter in law with 14 month child. We went late in the day and only had time for a visit to the Nature Center. The volunteers were great in keeping the pace pleasing to the infant. The nature and live animal displays were good and then the hands on pool... More

This was our second trip to the conservancy. We loved it as much as we did the first time. The electric boat ride is better than any Disney attraction I've ever been too. This is the place to enjoy nature. The new animal hospital takes care of animals in need.

Kevin is extremely knowledgeable, pointed out plant life, animals, and more. We took our time, saw mangroves, mangrove crabs, non-venemous snakes, three different types of Herron, raccoons, and lots more. We toured... More

We took the 10-1 tour out of Rookery that included a stop for lunch on the isle of Capri. We saw a lot of birds and Dolphins. They provide insect spray and binoculars for everyone. The captain was professional and knowledgeable. Our guide was a wealth of information, courteous and very pleasant. Our 6 year old was engaged, listened to... More

There are kayaks to paddle out in, boat tours, animals to see and educational displays about the local ecosystem and wildlife. I found it very interesting, as well as my son who is 26.
