This 7,271 acre state park lies partly within the great mangrove swamp of southern Florida, one of the largest mangrove swamps in the world. A wide variety of wildlife, including several imperiled species, inhabits this unusual blend of temperate...more
We paid $5.00 for absolutely nothing. Waste of my $$!! For a state park this was disappointing! Literally took less than 10 to drive through and only had 1 trail to hike and the other trails were on the outside of the park. Don’t waste...More
Lots of mosquitoes and unrepaired damage from the last hurricane leaves this park low on my list to want to revisit. I thought the dredge and octogon house were interesting. The camp site was easy to get in and out of and kept clean. I...More
This park is in a great location only a couple of hours away from Fort Lauderdale/Miami area and close to the Everglades and all the activities nearby.
This is a great day trip for singles couples and families. It is also a great campground.
We've camped at Collier Seminole twice, once November 2016 and recently March 2018. The first time we took kayaks and enjoyed paddling through the mangroves. The most recent visit we took my senior citizen mother and hung out at the campground. We thought the sites...More
This has been the worst camping experience of all times!!! This park has nothing to offer, the camping sites are very small close to each other. It’s mostly visited by red necks who don’t like other nationalities. Children cannot play around freely they were verbally...More

This is an excellent guided tour canoeing down the canals through the mangroves. The volunteer guides are friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing their expertise. There are four stops along the way to hear interesting narration and to rest. Highly recommended.
The best canoe trip I've ever done. A 3 hour peaceful, quiet (if everyone
Is so), well guided tour by the Park volunteers who know what they are doing.
Safe and excellent for beginners, no fast water here! And they are very pleasant,
The three hour canoe trip was peaceful and educational. It is a must if you are in the area. This group of park volunteers have got it "going on". Today 14 of us enjoyed the tour. We were entertained and educated by six guides in...More
Easy 3 hour paddle with experienced guides that love what they are doing. My wife was nervous novice but had a great time. Al skill levels will enjoy. 30.00 per adult is a great deal, and the money stays in Collier Seminole park.
