We summited Mount Ararat in a group of 4 people (including our guide) on the 22nd of July 2022. It took us 5 days in total (with 4 nights sleeping at the mountain and summiting after the third day very early night in the morning). We can highly recommend our guide Metin Emlek (WhatsApp +905433978010) who organized the whole tour in advance and was always available if we had any questions. It was also very helpful that he has strong English speaking skills, which overall made it an unforgettable experience.

Mount Ararat is a wonderful mountain and could climb without any tecnical equipment (except from ice crampons on last 200 metres). It takes 4 nights camping and in the end or beginning 2 nights hotel stay in Dogubeyazıt, you can not only trek 5137 metre but also see ishakpas palace, noahs ark, meteor hole, and ice caves. I recomend for this trek to organise with overland travel and you can see information on overlandturkey mount ararat trekking page. They organise everything for you and for your group, starting from 2 person up to a big party, you could use them to trek to summit of mount Ararat

We climbed Ararat with Two Ararat in July 2022 and we had a great time. Everything was well organized, went as planned and described on their website. The guide was very friendly, the food was good - nice breakfast, dinner (soup and main course), fruit, vegetables, biscuits and nuts on a daily basis. Refreshments were always prepared when we finished our daily climb. After climbing Ararat we spent a day at a nearby lake - very relaxing with a fantastic view. It was also interesting to see how local people enjoy spending a public holiday. We had excellent grilled fish and vegetables, and lovely fruit. A highly recommended and reliable company.

In June 2019 a group of 18 enthusiastic mountain-lovers from Slovenia reached the summit. It was an amazing experience.
Beyond our expecations!
Ararat is a magnificent mountain and trekking was superb organised by the local guide Cemal Gunes and his team. Although trekking was tiring and long, it felt very comfortable and almost luxurious. Food was delicious, tents were really nice, energy was calm and supportive. It was a wonderful experience and unforgettable trekking with an amazing local guide!

I climbed Ararat on a four day winter ascent with Ararat Trip (also called Ararat Adventures). Despite the winter conditions it was super well-organised with no concerns at all on the guide, equipment or food.

Best of all Agnieszka & Saffet Akkus from AraratTrip company (WhatsApp number: +905435647725) were professional and wonderfully friendly, taking time to make sure I was settled in in Dogubeyazit and going for meals with me even!

I was sad to leave after the trek!!

I took Metin as my private guide to Mt Ararat Hike. I am a very slow hiker and he is very patient to allow me to go with my own pace. I wouldn’t have been able to make to the summit without him. He is professional and super fluent in English (unlike all other guides in the mountain). Some guides have to borrow Metin for translation. I haven’t met any other guide who can speak English in the camps.

We even helped a woman who was left behind by her group because she slowed everyone down. We took her with us and we all made to the summit. All of us were very emotional on the peak.

Metin took very good care of everyone and he is the best guide I have seen in the Ararat. I wouldn’t have made it without him. I truly appreciate it. If you are planning a hike in the area, pls do contact him. I highly highly recommend him. His company is called Ararat summit and his contact is +90 543 397 80 10

I could join a group of total 7 people to spend 11 days in eastern Turkey organised by TAF travel. It was a great experience and the acclimatisation time with Nemrut and Mt Suphan is highly recommended. Our guides were throughout the journey very supportive and flexible to modify the program when needed. The summit is technically not difficult, only the lower oxygen level at 5000m slowed us down a bit. Overall a great experience and booking with TAF travel is highly recommended.

My daughter (28 year) and I (56 year) had a great time at Mount Ararat. We opted for the 6-days program (with acclimatization day). We are in good physical condition but not experienced mountain hikers. The summit day was really hard (14 hours walking) but the reward at the top made it worth every step.
We booked our tour with Top Ararat. Burhan is a fantastic guide with more than 20 years experience. He was born in the region and his father was a mountain guide too. Burhan is a very friendly and honest man! He offers good prices and is very flexible about the dates.
All tour operators have their own base camp at 3.200m. The one from Top Ararat is small and slightly away from the more popular and bigger camps. The company Top Ararat has a website (mtararattrek. com) and Burhan can be reached (in English) via WhatsApp (+90 544 569 86 04).
Highly recommended!

We climbed Mount Ararat im August organized by TAF travel. We did the relax tour, arrived in Van Saturday night and started hiking on sunday morning. Tuesday at 1am we started our summit walk and reached the top at 5am.
The walk was technically easy you just need to have a good condition.
