This place is a great location to stay in Miami. There are an abundance of restaurants to choose from and it's less than a ten minute walk to South Beach.

For us (a couple) this was a great area to eat. the choice of restaurants were great. It was a buzzy but quiet street (e.g. no cars) beautifully decorated with lights. Perfect to people watch! We preferred this to Lincoln Road fore eating.

It's a nice thing to go see at night and hang out. Maybe have a few brinks and appetizers at a few of the restaurants. It's all open and relaxing.

Right off Washington Avenue in South Beach, Miami, is this beautiful little area to walk and dine. We've eaten in a few places over here, including "Oh Mexico" and "Hosteria Romana"(see my reviews). They've added a safety measure in the wake of all the car...More

Espanola Way is the perfect spot to stay in Miami It is a two block walk to South Beach and lined with cute hotels and eating establishments. You are in the heart of things. Check out the restaurant Oh Mexico for delicious meals.

We made it back to Espanola Way a couple times on our trip. Our kids loved the feel of it, and it was fun to ride our scooters there, like we were back in Europe.

I'm looking at a hotel this weekend and I'm concerned about the construction with a toddler. Is it done yet? Is it noisy at night?

Yes. Some family members stayed here last week. It was exceedingly noisy even though they were given roons at the back! Hotel provided ear plugs. The restaurants are lively and noisy.
We will be visiting Miami this week (april 17th-25). Is Espanola Way still under construction?

I don't think bikes would be an issue - it was only blocked off for cars. As long as you take care around pedestrians you should be fine.
