So much art deco architecture on Collins Ave. Plenty of hotels and restaurants. Very close to the beach. My great grandparents lived in building on Collins Ave in the 1970s/early 1980s . They lived in a hotel converted to efficieny apartments.

I drove from South Beach to Aventura along Collins Ave over Thanksgiving weekend and was surprised by the lack of traffic. It was a nice, scenic drive and only took about 30 minutes

There are affordable restaurants in the area. I'd check with your hotel concierge for suggestions on restaurants within walking distance that are in your price range.
