Collins has hotels, shops, restaurants and the like. One often sees exotic cars and people. It is mostly a busy street used for getting around.

I love taking a walk from the hotel down to all the shops. There's a nice mix of souvenir shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants. I am surprised at how many of the stores close at 9pm, especially since the street is so busy with tourists...More

It has everything you could want plus some. Get out here! Great food, things to do like the beach and botanical gardens, did I mention food?

Collins avenue compared to Ocean drive is like night and day. I actually like Collins better than ocean. Lots of classy stores line this street along with some nice restaurants too.

This long Avenue appears to have nothing but Hotels and access to the beach. Only saving grace was the free Trolley Car which runs every 20 minutes to ferry you around

Our hotel was within walking distance and it was perfect. Collins Ave has numerous restaurants and bars and clubs. During the night and especially on the weekend it comes alive and is very colourful. The beach is nearby the Ave and there is nothing short...More

Like the famous song.... you must walk to this Street till the 5th. You pass into the Cuba neighbourhood. Pay attention on late time.

This is Miami Beach, so we were expecting much more towards south beach. Many, Many closed businesses, gutted buildings and poorly maintained city streets. Closed sidewalks with no warning, leaving you with nowhere to go. Trees all have spotlights, almost all of which do not...More

No reason to worry- at least not at daytime and during night time I would try to have company. Other than that, I personal would not be worried at all. It is the party zone and you may meet some unusual people. However... More

There are affordable restaurants in the area. I'd check with your hotel concierge for suggestions on restaurants within walking distance that are in your price range.
