My boss needed me to locate and photograph some rare birds in the Everglades. We googled "Everglades Tours" but all we found were overpriced locals who take advantage of the tourists. Luckily we found Dave Hunt. I was honestly expecting to see maybe 10 birds max. In the 6 hours that Dave spent with me, I saw dolphins, gators, and... More

My Dad and I wanted an Everglades adventure centered around bird photography. We found Capt Dave Hunt on line, read the rave reviews and realized he is the ONLY expert in the Everglades capable of providing that trip. We met Capt Dave at the entrance of the park and within moments he guided us to some rare birds we would... More

We spent 6 hours birding the Everglades with Capt Dave Hunt, mid Feb. Dave is an excellent birding guide! He gets you to where the birds are in a quiet, comfortable boat. We also did a birding trip with Capt Dave Hunt on Lk Okeechobee. Both excellent and highly recommended. Great close photo ops for birds and other wildlife.

We went out of Flamingo in Everglades National Park at low tide on a rainy morning and were rewarded with the skies clearing and flocks of whimbrels, dunlins, and roseate spoonbills. Dave found a single long-billed curlew that we were able to watch preen (i'd long wondered how they could groom - hint: feet are used a lot!) and hunt... More

Two of us pent 6 hours with Dave in January. Left early in the morning from the Everglades visitor center and then off to Flamingo where we boarded his comfortable and well-equipped boat. Then we had non stop wildlife viewing with fabulous birds (I counted at least 40 species) and marine life. We saw dolphins "mud ringing" (making circular "barriers"... More

Had a great trip with Captain Dave February, 2017 at Lake Okechobee. He is a wonderful guide - knows all about the history of the lake and the surrounding towns. He is the best bird guide and knows where to find the birds. He asked us what birds we wanted to see and found them for us. We spent 5... More

Capt. David Hunt is dependable, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the Everglades and all the birds in the area. He was able to locate the birds I wanted to photograph and position his boat so I could take a good image. I would highly recommend Capt. Dave and hope to hire him next January when I am back in Florida.

Unbelievable trip. We spent hours within feet of birds. The volume of species seen was huge, but they were all right within reach almost! The equipment used was top rate (Optics for specialty viewing and boat) and safe (boat). Dave's knowledge was awesome, both for the area and in general. Lots of opportunities for Photography. Very relaxed tour, very few... More
