We didn't catch any fish. Red tide was intermittently affecting the areas depending upon the tides. We did watch the sunset and enjoy the moon rise. We visited in day time and evening/night. Limited parking, which is adjoining condos. Bring a chair if you like,...More

Red tide has hit the area. Dead fish everywhere in the water around the pier. Odor not pleasant. Beach was almost void of people however.

You do not want to miss taking a walk out on the public pier during the day and at night. You can see plenty of fish swimming around the pilings of the pier. There is also water access on the pier. Great place to try...More

Whether you are on the pier or on the beach, stunning view of sunset. This was the night before Hurricane Gordon blew through, so a few clouds. Such a relaxing place to sit and stare at the sky

I was told to go to Mexico Beach as a awesome beach to chill and enjoy. But when we got to the pier we REALLY got surprised. Decide for yourself!

Very clean and no charge. Never crowded. There was several fishermen with a lots of success. I recommend a visit to anyone staying in the area.

The Mexico Beach Public Pier is a wooden pier where families can stroll and watch the fishermen and pelicans. Great place to watch the sunset too!

The public pier is just a pier, but the simplicity of it makes it that more darling. The sand on both sides is pure white soft - the best in the world.

The sand is the best and cleanest, the view is incredible, there's no fee and no restaurants. It's just an understated pier where people fish on the end. It's my favorite!

This pier is free and is open all night. Doesn’t seem like the fishing is too good and less you’re trying to catch bait fish. Water is so shallow around the pier you could just about walk all the way around from one side to...More

Dogs are not allowed on Mexico Beach but I believe they are allowed on St. Joe beach which is just east of Mexico Beach on Hwy 98. There are vacation homes available on St. Joe beach so that might be an option for you if... More
