Party on one side, relax on a nearly secluded beach on the other! Beautiful place to mingle with other boaters and float the channel. If you're looking for a more quiet place to relax, walk a short 10 minutes to the other side of the...More

Great beach and place to pull your boat up on the shoreline, anchor it down, and relax. Bring some lawn chair and a cooler, or grab something to eat from the food pontoons that anchor on the island regularly during season.

Neatly parked rows of boats greeted us on our first excursion to Keewaydin. Lots of people walking along the water, playing bean bag games, listening to music, exploring. The pontoon boats serving grilled burgers and ice cream give the festive atmosphere of the island a...More

We rented a boat and visited this private island. Only accessible by boat but fills up quickly. Still, there was plenty of space on the narrow white sandy beach to relax on our beach chairs by the water. Nice long stretch of beach to walk...More

Too many boats, too many stupid, ignorant and rude people, drinking too much and making too much noise. The island itself is nice, it is so unfortunate that people have to ruin it.

We love to take the grandchildren there to do the Lazy River. They also like to fish off the boat and always catch fish. The beach area is small and don't take kids on the weekend. Music is loud and too much partying going on....More

We visited on a Monday in August after renting a boat in Naples. The island was completely deserted and it was beautiful! The shells were unbelievable! This was by far our favorite thing on this trip!

Keewaydin Island is a one of the nicest boaters' beach in the West Coast of Florida. Accessible only by boat, it is a wilderness with no bathroom facilities, picnic areas or anything like that. Most of the island is privately owned with houses or docks,...More

The island is free to the public. You need to go by boat to get there. We rented a boat for 4 hours and it was about $250. Rates may be down now that the high season is over.

There's always a food boat from the Capri Fish house that has fish sandwiches, burgers and dogs, etc. There's also an ice-cream boat that often comes to the island that sells the sorts of ice cream bars and pops that you'd... More

Yes we took our chairs and umbrella but we also rented a couple of chairs from Hemingway water shuttle too. They have the option for rental on their reservation page.
