One of the most beautiful beaches that I have visited in Florida. It is a huge beach with white sand and calm waters. Parking was easy, however you have to walk aprox. 5 min from parking to the beach. I would recommend bring all your beach stuff (umbrella, sunscreen, cooler, etc), because you need to walk a lot to find... More

Guess we were expecting more here. Brought my inflatable paddleboard and thought we'd rent a tandem kayak for my husband and 2 of the 3 kids. Paid $40 for an hour for the kayak. Don't waste your money-not much exciting to see. We stayed in by the lagoon for most of the time and the kids had fun burying themselves... More

This beach is an excellent place to relax with your family. Kids have a blast and the water is nice and the shell collecting is even nicer.

This is a very good beach, but to get to the ocean, it is a very long walk from the parking area. The "beach" location closest to the parking area is a small inlet with limited views of the sea, due to the presque isle that forms the inlet. However, waters here are calm enough for kayaking or paddle boarding,... More

We went here with our two boys for the day and had a blast wading to the beach through the lagoon. Once on the beach the shell collecting was amazing.

On the Gulf a beautiful long white sand beach for walking, sunset and shelling. The lagoon side offers a variety of watersports, beach café, bird sanctuary where you can spot a variety of birds (cardinals, osprey, eagles, etc.). You pay $8 a day but you can leave and return as many times during the day. You can head out to... More

My wife and I were staying in Naples, and in the past had driven to Sanibel Island to shell. After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, we decided to try Tigertail Beach. Wise choice! The beach was clean and uncrowded, and the shelling was better than on Sanibel. It takes a little effort to make the walk to the beach but... More

In all fairness I can't rate this beach because of the very expensive parking they demand for entry. Wow!

Will be staying on Marco Island in March 21-20. A few questions about Tiger tail beach parking and lagoon crossing.

Are you able to park before 8 am? We will have but would like to have a few all day beach excursion would like to drive in order bring our beach gear( chair, cooler ect..)

The "crossing". I am not a big fan of walking in water above my waist. So I do have a reservation in crossing the lagoon. ( I have watched videos) But at the same time I would like to experience crossing the lagoon in order to get the full unique experience of our visit. So I have a few questions.

Are their any dangers in crossing the lagoon. Is there any risk in crossing at dawn I have seen people say this water is murky with lots of fish therefore I do not know if there would be potential of sharks feeding,. I am not sure of the if the lagoon is open to the gulf. Also I am not not well versed in alligators or crocodiles so is this an area that this can be a concern? I realize that these may be silly questions but non the less I am asking lol...... I could not find any answers to these questions so perhaps these are no issues in the lagoon.

How deep in the deepest part of the crossing my wife is 5' 4" so I would like to have an idea to give her a reference.

What is the depth difference between low tide and high tide. As it appears low tide in in the early morning and high tide is about 2 pm. therefore I am guessing on the way back the water level will be higher.

Any feedback would be appreciated. I realize you can walk around however I would like to overcome my reservation (fear) and cross the lagoon.
