The "Pass", as locals refer to it, was created by a hurricane on September 27, 1848. A pirate, John Levique, made the first passage through the newly created pass. Hence the name, Johns Pass. Located on the waterfront at Johns Pass, this quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village is Pinellas County's #1 tourist attraction. Over one hundred merchants inhabit the Village with unique retail shopping, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing.

It has a lot of shops and restaurants. The boardwalk is a nice place to see the harbor. You have to pay for parking.

Nice place to wander around. Reasonably priced beach shops, t shirts, shells, jewellery, leather goods, swimwear etc. Loads of dining options. A good place to hang out and watch the fisherman also saw dolphins swimming around which was lovely.

I went everywhere looking for dolphins on my vacation...even on a boat on the gulf side. I saw tons of dolphins here. More than any other place. Really nice place to walk around and get a bit of everything.

There is a lot to see here, and it's a good way to spend an evening. Touristy shops and t-shirt stalls, but a diverse restaurant selection and some bars. Grab a drink and people watch! There is also an alligator rescue nearby. Take the time...More

We went here to do some shopping. There are a variety of shops and all the employees in the shops were friendly. It’s a tourist place so the prices are a little higher then other places. But the experience is worth it.
