Overview

The "Pass", as locals refer to it, was created by a hurricane on September 27, 1848. A pirate, John Levique, made the first passage through the newly created pass. Hence the name, Johns Pass. Located on the waterfront at Johns Pass, this quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village is Pinellas County's #1 tourist attraction. Over one hundred merchants inhabit the Village with unique retail shopping, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing.

Loved the ride at a Johns Pass. It was nice to see where the birds are safe in the trees. Loved the pink bird! Love the feel of the boardwalk although $18 for two soft ice creams was a bit over the top!

I was disappointed in this area. I had hoped that it would be quaint but it was the same souvenir shops that are everywhere. It was dirty looking and old buildings. Not what I had hoped for.

This is a great place for a family vacation. We drove down from Atlanta. We parked and could walk to everything. Great family oriented place.
