This beach is one of the best we have visited on the west coast of Florida or on the eastern US for that matter. Beautiful white sand and crystal blue water. We went at low tide so we could walk on the sand bars for shelling. It is apparent there is a lot of pride in this beach. It is... More

This is a very popular beach but is great to visit during the week. While we are here, there is a flea market area on the week ends with loads of craft vendors

Lovely beach/park/picnic setting on the very southern end of Anna Maria Island (across from Longboat Key), Alas, you can't go in the water between the two islands as the current is dangerous, but the other parts of the beach are spectacular. One of the few public beaches in this geographic area - highly recommended!

Spent an hour on Twitter different days here. The sand is like sugar- white. Water was clear. Lots of shells and friendly people.

My Mother used to bring us, my two sisters and I and girlfriends when we were little. I have come here when vacationing over the years when able. Now we live in Tampa and it's less than two hours away. What a difference from when I was a kid. I can't wait to hear my Mothers comments from the photos... More

The beach is nice, yes. But that's it. If you love smelling the odors of dozens, on the weekend hundreds of mostly Mexican barbecues this is the perfect place for you. If you love noise and a often dirty beach also go there. But if you want to discover the beauty of AMI this is definitely the wrong place. Locals... More

Tons of parking, beautiful white sand and a long stretch of beach make this beach an ideal spot when exploring the areas. What really put it over the top for me was the abundance of these "changing shacks" and a cool playground. So simple - why don't more beaches have these changing shacks? They're dotted along the parking lot, wooden... More
