We ride often and love this trail. No worries about cars/traffic. Travel north and there is plenty of shade and things to see. Travel south and there is not much shade on the trail but you end up in St Pete and the beach! Nice...More

Absolutely the best place to bike, walk or blade. Miles and miles of paved trail along an old railway right-of-way. Much of the trail has separated bike lane from the walkers/runners. Grades that there are are gentle....except going up over.the trail overpasses over busy roads....More

I would suggest you go to AAA & or a local tourist bureau & pick up a Pinellas County map. There are places along roads & in parks where you can park & pick up the trail. It is paved. Enjoy!

Define safely. You will have to leave the beach and head towards the mainland. That means you have to go over the causeway. If you are driving there it's no big deal. You can find parking and peddle wherever you want. Tip... More

I would suggest the website about the trail. It has a map of the trail with access points. Not sure what parks you want to ride to but this site will help. Have fun!!!!
