If you are visiting from larger cities, the museum will seem small and cramped as the... More

We loved touring this museum in an old house. There are many different pictures, artifacts, clothing, tools, etc. that give you a glimpse into the past of life in Lake City. Our young children especially enjoyed the room that was set up with old fashioned toys and games.

My first trip was as a field trip chaperon with my young grand daughter's 2nd grade school class. As you can imagine much of my... More

History and hometown stories/pictures were enjoyable. Good volunteers to guide us through, and a nice yard/porch to visit in.

It's only open on Thurs and Sat from 10am to 1pm. Free admission. It's a two floor historical home with quite a few artifacts and donations from the local area.

A small but nice museum that tells you the story of this region of the State. It’s in an older house and each room is from a different period of the areas growth, with at least for me, the Civil War room being the most interesting and informative. If you are in the Lake City area its worth the stop... More
