A fascinating place to visit and so much to learn about sea turtles and how these fine folks are taking care of a variety of sick and injured turtles. The mission fee is a bit steep, but it does help support the facility. Well worth the 2 hours or so a good visit takes.

First, I think $22.00 is a lot for a 90 minute tour. Second, our guide spoke with a VERY heavy Hispanic accent and she talked very fact. I only understood about 25% of what she was saying. I had to sign a waiver and assume the responsibility for ant turtle bacteria I encountered. Forget it if you are pregnant.

A must-see for nature lovers spending time in Marathon, Florida, this turtle healing center has well organized and fascinating tours, which include a lecture on the different species of turtles and the ocean threats which result in hospitalization. A brief tour of the turtle operating room leads to numerous pools with all species of turtles recovering from injuries. Though children... More

Interesting place with an interesting back story. They do good work with the turtles and it is quite the learning experience. The lecture/slide show portion at the beginning of the tour is to long but the tour itself and the viewing of the turtles is fun. We would recommend this as a good spot to visit.

The knowledgeable staff gave us a great tour of the facility, where we learned about the sea turtles who are either there temporarily while they recover or stay for life if they have permanent injuries. So glad this place exists!

What a great learning experience. The care that these turtles receive is outstanding. This is an informative, fun activity. The plight of these turtles points out how important it is to protect our environment.

Worthwhile visit both educational and enjoyable. Our guide was very informative and answered every question and was very patient with our group. We now have a greater appreciation for the hospital's work and the need to protect the turtles.

All the reviews have it right. This is a very insightful tour and exceptionally well done. This place is true to its name, and not a tourist trap. Our tour guide was fantastic and their dedication to helping these beautiful creatures really shows. Don't miss this.

My husband and I have been driving past the Turtle Hospital for a few years, but never thought to stop in. That was a mistake. This year we promised ourselves that we would see what it was all about, and we are so glad we did. Our guide was informative and willing to share and answer all questions from our... More

We kind of wandered in while taking a walk from our nearby hotel. I was pleasantly surprised as I have been sucked-in to so many tourist traps over the years. This is a working hospital and sanctuary and you will definitely learn a few things. You don't get to touch and feel the titles but you learn about their plight.... More
