Islamorada’s adrenaline water sports pros Otherside Boardsports...

Islamorada’s adrenaline water sports pros Otherside Boardsports haverecently opened Keys Cable and the Otherside Adventure Park. Keys Cable is a new watersports cable park where adventure sports enthusiasts and curious newcomers alike can safely and cost effectivelyparticipate in wakeboarding, wakeskating, waterskiing, kiteboarding and Stand Up Paddleboarding.Located on the ocean side at mile marker 59 on Grassy Key, Keys Cable has two 2-tower cable systems that are independently operated atop of a seven acre tidal lake. Keys Cable notes itself as the first cable park in the world to offer full kiteboarding instruction with most cable operators being kiteboarding instructors themselves. The park’s independently controlled systems give the operator the ability to create a fully customized ride, with the fastest possible rate of progression due to the 1:1 rider:operator Ratio. More cost-effective than running a boat or jet ski, Keys Cable offers cable time rates beginning at $22 for half an hour or $32 for an hour as well as two-hour, half day, full day, monthly, seasonal and annual passes. We first stopped by this place to prep our daughter for her kite-surfing lesson (in addition to regular wakeboarding cable, they also have special "cable for kite" lessons). After her first lesson with Marshall we used every occasion we could to stop by and have more sessions. I think we ended up with four lessons in our 6-day long stay... More

We had a great time at Keys Cable. Think wakeboarding with no boat. My 12 year old had never wake boarded before, and he caught on quickly. I'm semi experienced, and had a blast too. Jerry was our "driver" for our cable and he helped my son get the hang of it, and kept encouraging him if he struggled. The... More

Although I didn't ride the cable, this place has so much to offer, it's well worth a visit. It was fun to watch first-timers improve on each run down the line, following clear instructions from the operator. The gardens & outdoor art are a nice addition to the wake-boarding, and I'm excited to return. Next time, I'm getting on the... More

We're over from the UK and visited the Cable Park. Everyone there was just fantastic, so friendly, helpful and hugely instructive. My two teenage boys had an amazing experience and are now so much better at Wakeboarding. Thanks everyone !

We've been visiting Keys Cable for 3 years now with 14 middle school kids and the level of operators and advice and time spent with our kids gets better and better. Marshall, Matt, Mike, and the whole crew are friendly and excited for the jobs. It's always a pleasure to be there and I look forward to the next year... More

I have wanted to try kite boarding for some time, finally got my chance on a trip to the Florida Keys. I have used stunt kites but never surfed and the big power kites used to kite board can hurt you in a heartbeat, so I went to Otherside Board Sports (Key Largo) to sign up for a lesson. They... Awesome! I made huge progress on my balance and transitioning. So much easier to communicate in the calm water cable park vs trying to tell over the wind and ocean break. I'll be back for sure.

My boyfriend and I recently visited Keys Cable and had a wonderful time. I was able to do my first jump off a ramp and it felt incredible. After parking, it literally took us 10 minutes to get in the water and on the circuit. Tom Jones was an amazing instructor - friendly, encouraging and very helpful with offering tips... More

Thanks!!! So much!! I was having a bit of problems with the boarding part of kiteboarding. In a hour and a half Matt had it all figured out for me. His way of teaching and explaining things really worked for me. Great place! Great guys!! Thanks! Wade
