Very nice beach with lilos and umbrellas available. Ample parking, restroom facilities and an excellent restaurant, Salute just off the beach.

As many know the keys are full of rock and coral beaches. Very painful. This beach was sandy. I went out quite a distance and it is all soft and sandy. Place to change, food available. We plan on returning tonight to watch the sunset.

There are several entrances/ladders to the water from the pier. The shallow water was full of sea weed.

Had a nice visit to Higgs beach. Sand was nice away from water. Very rocky along waters edge so be careful. Very soft once you get off shore. $20 to rent 2 chairs and umbrella. Nice restaurant nearby.

Jut a tip the beach at Fort Zach State Park is closer..... and it is a lovely beach with picnic tables and some natural shade available under the giant pine trees.
