A good place to learn

Was surprised as to how much you can lean about people in key West. Probably 20 minutes to walk through and read about them.

If you are a history buff, this is a nice outdoor stop. It is just off Malory Square, so if you are there for sunset and early this is a stop. We had been married in Key West 5 years earlier and had ordered a brick be carved and place in the garden. It took a while but we did... More

This cool spot is a history lesson of Key West told through the bronze statuary of significant early citizens. It is a great place to stroll around and imagine what the keys were like "before".

This is a very interesting display of the people that formed the community of Key West and tells snippets of their very interesting history. We really enjoyed reading their experiences and origins.

So much to see here and learn...So much of the history of Key West. Each sculptured bust of a man or woman whose life touched Key West has a detailed plaque explaining who the person was,and his/her history with Key West. The central sculpture is moving and also educates. A must see part of Key West!

This kind of brings to life some of the people in the history of Key West. Enough space to move around when there are a lot of people here.

We happened upon this place just after sunset at Mallory Square, not knowing it was there, glad we did - very nice free exhibit. We especially liked the sculpture of the wreckers and its interpretive plaque. Everything is nicely displayed and well laid out, so that even if there are a good number of people there, you aren't tripping over... More

I find that I like it and sometimes I'm with people who could not care less for this type of activity and sometimes I'm with people who find it as interesting as I do. It's the kind of info that maybe makes you want to get a book about the history of Key West, because you'll see an interesting tidbit... More

We walked through in the evening, but everything was well lit. The exhibit is free, and the quality of the sculpture and the small grounds were well worth the visit.

The Memorial Sculpture Garden is an interesting place to spend some time and learn about some of the lesser known people that have been a part of history.
