We spent the day wandering up and down duval st. There are the normal touristy places, but some really fun bars to stop at as well. It was interesting seeing the chickens wandering around the street and into the neighborhoods.

While it doesn't offer the gambling like Las Vegas, Duval St certainly provides the same atmosphere with it's multiple bars and souvenir shops. With a visit in May it was not crowded but I can imagine at the height of tourist season that it probably...More

Key West is cool... lots of shopping and good nightlife if you're staying longer than a cruise ship stopover.

Duval street is definitely the party street of Key West. We went with two small kids so it was a bit of an "adult" street between the stores with inappropriate t-shirts and bars and drunks everywhere, even in the middle of the day...on a Monday!...More

Our seventh visit to Key West and Duval Street although the last time was 20 years ago. Little has changed. It doesn't seem like the US....more of a tropical island atmosphere. Packed with tourists, cheap t shirt shops, bars and restaurants....over the top? Yes! Touristy?...More

Quirky and unusual. The fire dancers were a hit with my family. Try to also go off Duval Street to check out the local non-traveled areas. Don't just go for the sunset celebrations, even though they are spectacular! Look for the six toed cats. Watch...More

Well, what can I say about Duval St that hasn't been said already. It's a great party atmosphere. You see all kinds of people here! It's a cross between Provincetown and Saratoga Springs...(just my opinion)

To us visiting Duval Street was one of the major attractions. It is mixed with small shops of all varieties and bars and restaurant of all kinds. Again be ready to brave the tons of tourist.

It is a perfect day trip up the keys! Be aware traffic can get heavy, but that is something we do every time, all the way to Islamorada!

I would suggest staying in a middle key like islamorada or marathon. The hotel rates are more affordable. I usually stay on islamorada but I stay in very basic motels. I spend most of my time outside anyway! I would suggest... More
