This half-mile-long, crescent-shaped patch reef is an interesting dive site since it is highly developed and similar to those of most outer bank reefs in the Key Largo area.

Great snorkeling spot for beginners

We took our 8 year old son here for his first snorkeling experience and he loved it. It is very shallow in spots. A lot to see.

Fantastic spot for snorkeling. Since its mostly shallow this is a great spot for people who may not be the greatest swimmers unless seas are up. This is fun family spot

There are many live conch crawling around and farther out is a shallow reef with cannon to discover! Plenty of colorful reef fish. Great for kids on their first snorkel and adults too!

We went with John Pennekamp State Park tour boat, Dolphin and Katie(mate) and Brian (captain) were so patient, knowledgable and helpful. The 30 minute boat ride was beautiful and scenic. Grecian Reef was shallow, clear blue, fish we saw: Rainbow Parrotfish, Stoplight Parrotfish, Spotted Trunkfish, Fairy Basslet, Blue Chromis, Great Barracuda and Juvenile fish. A school of fish went quickly... More

We did two snorkels here. I thought the reef seemed healthy. I saw a large number of fan coral and a big collection of different reef fish. This is a good destination for a first time snorkeler since it is not super rough usually.

Great place when it is too windy for the deeper reefs. You can anchor in the sand shallow to the reef and it is a very short swim to the reef. Great place to see conch, there are always many of the there. I even saw a cannon there and a reef shark swimming along with many colorful reef fish.

We took the snorkel tour from John Pennekamp Park. It was a crowded Labor day weekend so they took us to the Grecian Rocks. This worked out wonderfully, because we had our 8 and 4 year old on their first snorkel trip out in the ocean. The reef is not very deep so my daughter was able to see all... More

We went over Labor Day weekend to Grecian Rocks with a tour out of John Pennekamp State Park. It was perfect for our first time snorkeling! Beautiful coral formations and lots of amazing ocean life to view! We can't wait to visit again.
