This wreck, the sister ship toi the Duane is a worthy dive and should not be missed. You may have a chance encounter with A bull shark or two and other critters such as large schools of baracuda. So Head on over the Quescence Diving Services for a trip to theis dive site, you will not be dissapointed. I always... More

Sister ship to the Duane this vessel is dived much less frequently because she is deeper, on her side and the currents may be unfavourable. My family were lucky with beautiful conditions - no current, crystal clear visibility and some lovely, large pelagics passing by as we dropped down. We had a fun dive but were on air and didn't... Not my favorite dive.....not a bad one, just enjoyed other wrecks more. Duane, which is close by, was my favorite.

Both mooring balls have broken free from this wreck. :-( No boats are running any trips to this wreck the week I'm in town (as of June 23, 2015). It is unknown when the mooring ball people are scheduled to replace them.

The Bibb is the same type of ship as the Duane but the Bibb is laying on her side. That little change makes the dive completely different. Deeper (95') to the wreck, the dive is much shorter. The way the current normally moves in that area it can be harder to hide from it. But the Bibb is still worth... More

A little deeper than sister ship Duane, Bibb rests on its side and offers an interesting perspective when compared to Duane that sits upright. Saw some big fish on our dive: two huge Goliath Groupers, about a 5' bull shark and a similar sized nurse shark. Didn't see the great white (youtube great white + Duane for the video) but... More

Managed to get here for the first time on my last visit in February 2014. Due to currents it is not often visited. Found twolarge loggerhead turtles on the superstructure and a 3.5m bull shark on the sand off the hull. A great dive though we did almost lose a diver on the surface who was pulled away from the... This dive is worth your time. She is a sister to the USS Duane. Funny, one of the sailors that used to be on the Duane said the Bibb was plagued with problems, they were always helping her out and taking her runs when she was broken. We laughed when we realize the poor Bibb couldn't even sink right, she... More
