A great place to meet up for an afternoon visiting a sanctuary that house Florida native rehabilitated animals that have sustained injuries preventing them from being released. These pictures are just a few of the inhabitants. At 3 pm we went to the amphitheater to hear young sanctuary students discuss an animal that lives here. Its donation based entry. Lots of great work goes on here. They have a nice gift shop...think Christmas or birthday gifts. Masks 😷 required.

Love this place, I have been many times. Because it is outdoors I would recommend bringing water, a hat, and applying sunscreen before your adventure! Busch wildlife runs completely on donations, and is free to enter. Enclosures for the rescue animal residents are always improving, and they will gladly take in any injured or sick animals you find in the area. Would recommend for kids and adults alike, a wonderful experience for the whole family!

Finally got to see a Florida Panther! Also happened to be in the area when one of the volunteers was returning a Great Horned Owl to it's enclosure. She stopped and talked with us for a few minutes while we were able to view him up close - so grateful to get this experience. Would stop by here if you have some time and want to see some amazing wildlife...did I mention the Bald Eagles we saw...awesome place!

This place is a hidden gem! It runs completely on donations and what they do is amazing. I felt safe as everyone wore masks. The staff presents shows throughout the day and it's educational for homeschooled children. They have a great variety of animals and information on each one, I saw so many creatures up close. I really enjoyed my experience, it takes about an hour or so to complete the self guided tour.
