This is a great seaturtle conservation organization. They have a turtle hospital and small education center. The most notable thing with this organization is the during seaturtle nesting season (May - August), they take you on guided walk to watch the turtles up close.

Very educational', A great place to take the kids. Where they spend time learning and interacting with the animals. Its a non profit sea turtle hospital They have a gift store* if you purchase an item from the gift store the proceeds go to the care of the marine and education . The gift store is really very cool.

What a wonderful, caring sanctuary this is. Everyone was helpful with information about the turtles and the purpose of this hospital and sanctuary. Saw many turtles in various stages of being helped. We learned a lot and enjoyed our visit.

The docents were very knowledgeable & you could tell they cared about what they were doing for the turtles. Saw Loggerheads, Green sea turtles, even an Olive Ridley sea turtle. Their stories are sad. Am happy there are people and organizations trying to save them.

As a not-for-profit turtle 'hospital' or 'sanctuary', a visitor would be surprised at everything Loggerhead Marine Life Center has to offer, given a $5 requested donation for entrance. Starting at the door, to your left is a room of knowledge, so to speak; where before you meet any live turtles, you get to learn all about them as well as... More

I just love this place. The staff is wonderful and you can truly tell they are working or volunteering there for the right reasons. Taking the public tour is worth the $7 to see the turtles up close and hear the history of each one's rescue and rehabilitation. Some of the stories are heartbreaking but you know the turtles are... The handling of these creatures fom the beaches of Florida is interesting. When they experience trauma, it is an interesing place to learn how they are cared for and brought back to normallife.
