Went to visit on a Tuesday and it was busy but not over crowded. The wait for boat to get to the park is longer than the tram and you really don't see to much, so if time is a concern take the tram. We packed a picnic lunch that worked out well although there is food available if want... More

This place far exceeded our expectations. Afraid it was going to be a tacky zoo type of place but the state of Florida has made a wonderful outdoor venue to view native (except for the hippo) birds, mammals and reptiles. The enclosures are very natural looking and exceptionally clean. Great take for both adults and children.

We visited here on president's Day, so it was a little busy, but what a great take this place is. We had a great time!

The Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park in Homosassa Florida is a wonderful place to enjoy Florida Wildlife for about half a day. Native Florida wildlife viewing is excellent and Lu is the Star of the Show. The guides and narrators are quite knowledgeable and humorous as well. We have found that the most comfortable time of day to... More

We have been in the area for several months, but there is little advertising about how great this park is! We had family visiting and it was a cool day, anticipating rain so we decided to stay local and on a whim chose to visit the park. I'm so glad we did and can't believe we've missed taking other guests... More

Glad we went - we almost missed this place. A beautiful river-ride to the zoo. TONS of native species up-close to view (bobcats, roseate spoonbills, otters, manatees, fish, bald eagles, hawks...) and a couple of non-natives too (flamingos and a hippo). Next time we are in the area with family, we will stop.

Definitely a better option over Three Sisters Springs and overall a great place for some outdoor fun. There are two entrances to the park. Entrance fee includes tram or boat ride just be sure to get there in the morning as sometimes they stop boat tours in the afternoon. Coolest part: Lu the hippo! But BEWARE of splatter zones (you'll... More

We decided to start our tour of the Park with this river boat ride offered as an alternative to the shorter trolley ride, and I am happy we did! The ride along this wandering small river was absolutely beautiful. The guides are all very well versed with the local wildlife knowledge and friendly as well as competent. We saw a... More

Starts with a beautiful 20 minute boat ride down the river to the park if you choose to - don't skip that, very interesting info pointed out along the way by the tour guide. Can take tram there that is a 5 min ride too but highly recommend the boat ride, saw 2 alligators, egrets, ibis, and some sort of... More
