This is THE place to go to rent a kayak for a river experience. They charge for a whole day what some outfits charge for an hour. we spent the better part of the day exploring the Chaz. Went to the "crack" and explored many of the offshoots of the river. Lots of birds and fish, and a family of... More

A friend and I wanted to meet up for some kayaking and decided to try someplace new. Boy did we pick the right place. Carla was great! She let us pick our kayaks, gave us a map and explained the best places to check out, and answered all our questions. Then we were off for a leisurely, carefree day of... More

Our kayaking trip along the Chassahowitzka was a day to remember. Seven Sisters Springs, The Crack. Wish we could have done another day. Carla, the owner of Kayak Karavan, is a treasure! She knows so much about the pristine waterways of Florida and, even better, seems to love what she does. A great ambassador for the "Nature Coast." Highly recommended.... More

I always wanted a very special kayak adventure and knew that Florida was the only place that would deliver. Before we started kayaking, Carla asked questions as to what we were looking for in order to give us the best experience. Boy, did she deliver! Knowledgeable in both nature and the history of the region, she made our kayak trip... More

Carla was great and very accommodating, even though we were a bit late showing up that morning. It was a cold day, and Carla gave us Indian blankets to wrap around our laps for warmth. I'd never done that in a kayak and it helped a lot. The scenery is like you are in the middle of the Amazon. The... More

Stayed at the Chaz Hotel and was introduced to Karla at Kayak Karavan. She was great. Got me set up with a kayak and gave me lots of good info on the river. Spent about 6 hours exploring. Would love to do it again in the fall (way too hot in the summer) and when it's less crowded (scallop season/weekend).... More

We rented a couple kayaks for a week from these guys and had an excellent time on the river. Norm was great sharing all the local info with us and we were lucky enough to see Rachel the resident manatee and her pup. If you're staying close by, rent your boats for multiple days so you can keep them overnight... More
