Took my husband as a surprise (as most lil boys he loves trains). We saw the train exhibit. It was nicely set up and had a seek & find. Lots of people dressed for the trains. We had a great time

I stopped by one afternoon while visiting downtown. The Matheson is not very big, but it had interesting displays of old Gainesville.

We came to see the special exhibit on the St. John's River but thoroughly enjoyed the whole museum. A small place but worth the stop.

A small home town museum with some interesting artifacts of the area. Not a flashy museum but things that do much to see the area. No admission fee. Nice for an hour or two visit.

The majority of the museum displays are located in the front entrance of the building. There's a native american display and general store. In the middle of the building, they have a rotating display.
