Very fun to do with kids, seeing all the butterflies right in front of your nose is astounding. The research and science is interesting as well, but the direct experience is really touching.

We love to visit the Butterfly Rainforest exhibit when we go to the Florida Museum of Natural History! Very calming to sit and watch the butterflies and listen to the waterfalls.

Stirred by the sun, butterflies danced around us, and even landed on us, showing their many and varied colours. Not your usual humid sanctuary, this feels like the wild but without the dangers. A must-do in Gainesville.

We've toured butterfly gardens across the US and in the Caribbean. This is right up there. The volunteer made it a special trip by pointing out the hidden treasures and filling in info about them. Quiet and peaceful.

We love the museum and butterfly garden. I took my 1yr old daughter and she had a blast. It’s a great place to teach children to be calm and gentle with our environment and watch as they are rewarded by the colorful butterfly’s fluttering about.

We lived here for years without going to the Butterfly Rainforest. Seeing it from the street, it reminded us of some aviaries at zoos we had been to that were very hot and claustrophobic. Having an outdoor screened in facility just didn't seen inviting for...More

We had to kill some time while waiting for our granddaughter to finish with a grad school interview at UF so we ambled over to the Butterfly Rainforest. A hugely diverse supply of butterflies greeted us as well as lush tropical flora. It's good to...More
