Took advantage of this add-on while visiting the Florida Museum of Natural History. You probably never get to experience butterflies as up close and personal as here. Recommended.

Took my 7 year old niece and had a great time. Butterflies from all around the world, beautiful greenery, lots of fish in the ponds, benches to sit and see the butterflies feeding, and a little place to eat before or after your visit.

On a sunny day, this is a superlative experience. It is quite warm in the enclosure, but the plantings, koi, butterflies, and animals are well worth the trip, cost, and heat!

Got to see a butterfly release. Spoke with a staff member, Amber, who was extremely knowledgeable about the museum.

As others have said, no, the exhibit is not protected from the rain. We also are required to close during lightning or heavy storms.

Yes, all Florida Museum exhibits are wheelchair accessible. The Butterfly Rainforest path was recently widened in some areas to improve access.
