I rented a canoe with my 3 young kids in February. The canoes can be rented within the park. We went during the week and there weren't many people on the river. The water is crystal clear and we were able to see a manatee with her baby. AMAZING! We saw tons of birds and turtles also. It was a... More

On a hot Florida summer day, that icy water feels so good. The view is beautiful as you float down the spring. Get there early to beat the crowds. It is it in the country and off the beaten path but you have to go. Bring your tube our rent one from one of the many stands just outside the... More

While Florida's famous beaches is what most people think of when visiting the Sunshine State it is Florida's springs that brought this state's first European visitor when Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de Leon came looking for the fountain of youth. Many people don't realize that the region between Orlando in central Florida to about Tallahassee (the state capital) has one... More

Beautiful Springs. Perfect for kayaking and summer tubing. Many manatees. Best during the week in bust season.

This is a beautiful river to tube or snorkel down. It is so relaxing and moves very slowly so you have lots of time to admire the lush vegetation and see some wildlife. Definitely an adventure worth taking.

6 friends made a day visit to the Ichetucknee Springs State Park in late December 2016. We spent the day paddling the six miles up the Ichetucknee River from our campsite on the Santa Fe in canoes & a double kayak. Floating downstream in inner tubes is the norm and very relaxing. Fighting one's way upstream is guaranteed to provide... More

Enjoyed the paths, camped nearby, the springs are beautiful. If you want to avoid the families definitely best to show up early.

This was our first Floridan Spring and absolutely beautiful. The water was unbelievably clear and we had the spring all the ourselves. We then took our tubes down the river passing lots of turtles chilling on logs. It was a perfect day. Highly recommended snorkels to appreciate the springs!
