Large car park at $1 per hour, some spaces in the shade, information area & clean rest rooms. Once on the boardwalk the first thing to see is the large pond with Alligators, Turtles & various bird life, then it meanders through the woods for...More

Lakes and waterways were very low due to the drought. I have not been here before but I would imagine it would be very good when water levels were back to normal. Parking cheap.no cost to enter slough.

Very nice boardwalks probably a mile in length total. You may see alligators, eggrets, snakes and many other animals. There is a gift shop and clean restrooms. Very informed volunteers. Don't miss it is you are in the area.

Although it was hot and during a drought, we did enjoy waking through the Preserve; we saw some wildlife: alligators, egrets, ducks, ibis, squirrels, turtles and some I don't remember. We walked at our own pace, not a guide and used the boards, pamphlets, and...More

We spent two hours here and saw amazing wildlife including a roseate spoonbill, water moccasin, lots of alligators and unusually colored fish. We could have spent more time but it began thundering and lightning! Would highly recommend!

It was a nice and beautiful nature walk but unfortunately the ponds were almost completely dried out so we didn't see any ducks or otters. We only got to see one alligator too. You have to pay a small fee for parking but it's a...More

We parked in the large car park, $1 per hour, the machines accept cards as well as dollar and 5 dollar bills. The elevated boardwalk takes you through ancient forests and swamp land, although it had been very dry prior to our visit and the...More

Parking is about $1/hour, and it's well worth it. You walk along a boardwalk that's a little over a mile long. Every time I've been there I've seen alligators, once a HUGE one. I've also see wild boar. There are many birds and fascinating plants....More

We actually took a walking tour in 2016. Would strongly recommend going on guided tour and not try going alone, much more interesting. Saw a gator and a bunch of wild pigs. Nasty creatures that breed like crazy and destroy crops and personal gardens.
