Nice unique nature walk

Really enjoyed the walk. Took 2 hours going slow and stopping to see the sites. Many turtles and birds, and a big snake. Not sure kids would have their interest held.

Six Mile Cypress Preserve is a must see if you are in the Fort Myers Area. Not too far from Daniels Parkway and the Fort Myers Airport. There is a walking path around the preserve...we saw alligators, otter, birds, geckos, squirrels and turtles. Be sure to bring a camera or charge your phone. There are several resting spots throughout the... More

This was a beautiful area and boardwalk through the preserve. We saw alligators, birds or all kinds, turtles, and more. Beautiful plants and the walk was perfect with lots of photo ops ,benches and wonderful gazebos to stop in.

Visiting here the day after Thanksgiving there was quite a crowd. However the bird viewing was exceptional if you were patient. Several individuals, including preserve volunteers, had scopes set up which they graciously shared. We saw storks, night herons, owls, woodpeckers and alligators. Definitely worth a visit, but perhaps a weekday would be better.

Beautiful walk! Great view of nesting eagles! Did this walk as part of eco-tour. Guide Anne was good. Knowledge of nature was great. Out and back is about a mile.

I walk this area fairly often because the quiet, peaceful beauty and variety of birds and animals make taking good photos pretty easy.

Have been to Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve many times with guests. They all enjoyed this hidden gem tucked away from I-75. There is a small fee for parking ($1 per hour or $5 per day)! The trail is boardwalk from start to finish about 1.2 miles. As you stroll down the boardwalk, you get the sense how old Florida... More

This is a very affordable activity for families that would like to get outside and actually walk through alligator territory without being in danger. It's a little less than a 2 mile walk, and we actually saw an alligator swimming underneath. It was stroller accessible for us, and overall a fun way to get out without spending a ton of... More

Beautiful place to breathe some fresh air, take in the nature, and let the stress roll away. Educational for the kids, too. Plenty of shade makes the temperature bearable. Come here to enjoy what SWFL really has to offer when you're away from the beach!
