We began our visit touring the inside of the nature center. The displays were interesting, just not a lot of them. After we viewed the animals inside and out, we decided to hike the nature trail. The trail is not well marked, and we often...More

Well worth the time and for very little cost. Awesome, kid friendly wild animals to see and lots of adventure trails, planetarium, great guides! Go for it!

This is a very small nature center. Only a few animals and their captain small enclosures. The best part was the planetarium. The lady near rating had a really pleasant voice and she seemed knowledgeable about what she was showing. The trails were nice But...More

Loved the planetarium show! Ask what times it is showing right at the admission booth. The $10 fee was worth it to help fund the new building of exhibits for the animals. The current cages are a little sad. We got to pet a snake...More

The facility needs some updating and there are signs of some reconstruction. There was a hands on (snakes) demonstration. The planetarium was kind of cool and informational. Over all it was just okay.

My husband and I have been driving past this center for a couple of years now and decided to finally make time to see it. There is plenty of parking. The signage to find the reception counter could be marked better. Once inside, you pay...More

We are very grateful for your taking the time to make a complete review, but it would be very helpful to know what day you visited. Our animal demonstration area has seating for 25 people, so on most days there is enough seating; I'm sorry...More

The Calusa Center is on the edge of Ft Myers, but you'd think it miles from a city. It's woodsy and tranquil. The Planetarium is excellent. The nature trails are pleasant strolls, but not very exciting. The Center itself has a number of wildlife that...More

We came here to enjoy nature and learn. They have lots of animals and fish, and they are building a new beautiful bird aviary. They are also working on their paths right now, and are using mostly volunteer help. We enjoyed the planetarium, the walk...More
