We finally got back to the park after a long time - my wife has told me about the banyan tree for years. A must see for the historical aspect alone! Recommended!

We had good time spending time near the river and talk about the surroundings. Very historic banyan trees. We wondered how many ideas were discussed in that area between Edison, Firestone and others.

Definitely a must see. The variety of plants is fantastic. Well laid out estate and gardens. A great way to spend 1/2 day in Ft. Myers.

The grounds were immaculate, Mr. Edison's interest in botany for both visual and scientific purposes was amazing.

Sorry, don't remember if the tour guide even told us. Tip, if you go take the guided tour, worth every penny.
