I had heard of McGregor Blvd. But actually turned onto it by mistake. I figured "I'm on it, might as well see the sights". It was well worth a wrong turn. The Blvd. is lined with palms and the landscaping is beautiful. Residential neighborhood well kept up.

Take a ride down McGregor Blvd and see the giant Royal Palms brought over from Israel by Henry Ford..Palm trees were nor native to Florida but actually shipped to Florida by Henry Ford. Ft Myers means city of Palms. You will see old and new Florida along the way .

We loved it. The trees and the sky were beautiful. Some pretty cottages. We drove around noon on a working day and the traffic was not heavy at all. A great place to see in Fort Myers

Lots of royal palms. Street look real pretty. Mixes the old with the new. Nice contrast. Off the street to the river real nice homes, some in the millions.

We love this palm tree street. The zoning is questionable with a mix of upscale and run down housing and commercial, but there is nothing that represents OLD FLORIDA better. The Ford and Edison Estates and McGregor Cafe add to the charm of McGregor. The key lime pie is worth the stop at McGregor Cafe.

The drive down McGregor shows you what Old Florida is. Drive the entire length, then end up on First Street and walk around. or visit Edison.

The trees are beautiful. Traffic is bumper to bumper, people are aggressive and ride your tale. Road rage and distracted drivers a plenty. Can't exit to Cape Coral to Veterans Blvd going north?
