We spent most of the afternoon visiting three places here: The Museum of History, the King Cromartie House, and the School House, which are all next to each other. We had a guided tour of the last two, since the Museum of History is self-guided....More

A great place to visit with the whole family. The whole neighborhood is worth spending the day. Be sure to pick up some picture postcards when you make a stop at the Art Museum.

Military are free, but the exhibits are worth the modest cost of $10 or $15 if you want a docent. I particularly liked the exhibits on native Americans, mostly the Seminals.

A buddy and I enjoyed this tour. I like history anyway so this was fascinating. We got to tour all three buildings which looked to be very well preserved. The house next to the main Museum was the most interesting to me because it was...More

A lovely park and look back into the Ft lauderdale of old. Interesting and very well preserved. Didn’t take the tour but enjoyed walking the grounds and sitting beneath the old trees. Saw a few iguanas hanging out in the lazy afternoon sun.

The beautiful old Florida House. A character and charm like no other. A dream of mine to own my own one day with its old hard wood floors, wrap around porch, many windowed, pine and built to last, they have seen every hurricane. Bending with...More

Honestly, when I found out the difference between the self guided tour, which limits you to the Inn only, and the docent guided tour was $5 I jumped on it. The guide was beyond knowledgable. So willing to answer loads of questions and super detailed...More
