There is an "OK" river walk, but nothing like we had hoped for, like San Antonio or Las Colinas. Parking is also rare and hard to come by.

Took a long private waterway ride up the new river. Would recommend one of the commercial water taxis. The trip is up a Narrow waterway full of big houses and huge yachts at the end.

A nice way to spend the day. Get on a river taxi and float away up and down the intercoastal . Pack a picnic, get off and back on. People watch and enjoy the views of the condos and homes.

I have never seen such HUGE boats on such a small river. Not only are beautiful yachts docked on both sides, but boats of all genres and sizes still ply these waters. It does not look like a river as much as a channel. Along...More

I enjoyed my stroll along the New River. I wan't disappointed, but I don't think I will return. My walk was during the day, so maybe not as much activity as night.. I wished the sidewalk was extended further..

We took a boat tour down this river and the Intercoastal, and found it very enjoyable and informative.

Well worth the time to see all of the waterways on the water taxi. Take the day and explore it is worth the time. So much to see and do.

This area is beautiful. You can walk along the River and eat by the water at several really excellent restaurants. I grew up in Fort Lauderdale and this area has really blossomed over the years. You can make an afternoon of visiting the Museum -...More

So many nice water views right in the heart of the city. It's a nice river, it's fairly clean and there are so many boats and nice tours on it too. But you can still just enjoy it's beauty from the riverbank.

The new river is just off the ICW. Nice to see. Traveling the ICW is a great time the first time. After that it is a slow way to travel. Great for seeing all the megayachts, and villas, Iguanas.

I bought 2 senior 1 day tickets for $21 each at my hotel. The regular passes are $26 per person. We were there May 20 of this year.
