I walk this beach every Friday morning as part of the Amelia Island Turtle Watch, looking for nests or emergences. The trash on this section of beach seems to exceed the trash everywhere else. It's too bad, because it has such nice and easy access...More

What a great place for family fun and get togethers. Covered picnic tables and wooden walkways, lead to a beautiful beach and lots of room to play. Almost forgot, wash rooms are available.

My aunt has always taken me and my cousins always to this part of Fernandina and it was always great. The showers were great and their was nice parking. Also, enjoyed the picnic tables.

We visited for the 4th and enjoyed it! Spent the day on the beach, showered in the public restrooms and returned that evening for fireworks!

We were excited to be able to drive down on the beach and "tailgate" a little, but was very disappointed that people seem to totally trash this beach and leave it a real mess.

This beach is the place to go to enjoy a great surf and sand. Large enough that you never feel crowded and a great family feel.

Nice facilities. You can drive your car in it but you need a permit. Also the sand is very deep so I would not venture on a car. I would think you need a truck or a 4X4. Saw a couple of turtles, one making...More

Nice Beach with covered picnic areas and good parking. The bathrooms are not being maintained very well so detracts from what would be a great beach. The beach itself is wonderful, we rode horses there and it was so pretty.

The only two times I've come to this stretch of beach it had been trashed by a bunch of kids partying. This seems to be their hang out point.

Technically No. However there is camping in the parking area. We have seen camping on the beach but the Sheriff's department may ask you to leave. This area is heavily patrolled.

I agree with the answer given below; such a shame that people do not care for the provisions made by the county.
