Nice to look at, no huge reason to actually visit!

There are great views of the lighthouse from the state park across the water. That is totally worth it!!! We drove to the lighthouse itself and weren't all that impressed. It was kind of cool to see up close, but you can't go in it or anything so there's just not much of a reason to go there. It's also... More

We were anxious to visit this historic site only to arrive and find the gates locked. A neighbor informed us that " it is only open on Wednesday and maybe on a Saturday morning if you get here early". Lots of cars arived at the same time as we did. What a shame that most visitors do not get to... More

When visiting Amelia Island, doing the lighthouse tour is a must. The information given is clear, brief, and affects more than the lighthouse. The tour is well worth the money.

The lighthouse is not open to the public and is hard to find and almost impossible to see unless you tresspass.

As lighthouses go this one is pleasant. The keepers have done a great job keeping this lighthouse looking sharp and have good signage to provide some historical information.

It was a bit hard to find this historic lighthouse--it's in a residential area close to town. It wasn't open. Worth a 5 minute stop.

We couldn't get there, it's in a private neighborhood and was behind a locked gate with warning signs. Seems that you can tour it sometimes but we had better things to do anyway. In Clinch State Park is an overlook and you can see it ove rteh marshes. Bring the big tele though.

We went there on Christmas day, It was closed on the Christmas day, but we still could see it and took pictures. It was not easy to find, the address was confusing, GPS led us to a tree area with blue ribbons, we walked thru it and found the light house. Nobody just us, so we could take as many... More

Just stopped by for some pictures as this is a cool looking lighthouse. You can get some nice views up the coast from south of the building.

This lighthouse is in a residential neighborhood, so there is not very good access there. We got our best view of the lighthouse from an overlook in Clinch State Park. It is very picturesque. Too bad the only ones to be able to enjoy it are the people who live next to it. I respect the right to privacy, but... More
