Absolutely beautiful state park with great beach access. This was our second visit to the park. The beaches are clean and not crowded at all despite being close to Jacksonville. A great place to camp, swim, visit, and fish.

A nice park, well maintained with history. It is a relaxing and educational place. Takes about 2 hours to really take it all in.

The drive out to Fort Clinch is beautiful, a canopy of oaks and sand dunes though the trees. There is an additional entrance fee (2.50 per person) to enter the fort but worth it to see and help preserve this place. I was very impressed...More

Stopped by on our way back from Cumberland and trekked around. Grounds are clean and this spot makes for some good photos.

I'm sorry I didn't see the question sooner but I would say it is worth driving through. I enjoyed looking at the trees.

Between exploring Ft. Clinch, taking Amelia River Cruise's Cumberland Island sightseeing cruise, strolling the shops of Centre Street, and hanging out at the beach, one can easily spend at least one night if not two nights... More
