Took a jeep ride the road are primitive open and closing gates to find roads to explore. Panther, gators, vultures, deer...all types of water fowl no services shoo gas up bring drinks and take your trash out with you.

It is a beautiful place to visit. It is actually one of the last quiet places in Florida. We haven't camped there yet, but it is on our list. We did notice Monsanto Has a large office near here.

Great camp, no one around, no electric, no water. Just you and earth the way it should be. Love this place. We will be back.

There are several camping spots in Okaloacoochee Slough. The main one is high and dry. Should be no problem with water. The shell rock roads are also well maintained and usually dry. However be aware that it is primitive... More
