Once you arrive at the park, there's a sign telling you to get your tickets across the street at the Observation Tower.
The boat captain was very personable and shared the stories of the area. On our tour we saw 2 dolphin, we sorta saw...More
We were supposed to go snorkeling in the Dry Tortugas, but weather conditions interrupted those plans. On the way back north, we decided to swing by and take a tour - best decision we made on the trip! Captain Steve and Bridget were engaging and...More
Just on the north edge of the Everglades this ride was informative and fun. The captain and crew had lots to say, and were very sensitive to the interests of the passengers. Best part was when the captain enticed some dophins to perform for us.
3 of us went on a Friday at 5 PM. We had the boat to ourselves! The captain and crew were extremely knowledgable and accomodating. We chased dolphins, saw eagles and other birds and were out for the full hour and a half! We would...More
My wife and I visited on Saturday, October 6th. I did book online, for the last tour of the day, at 5pm. My wife, daughter and I, had done this tour about 4 years ago, and had a good time on that trip. We arrived...More
A very accommodating company - my wife and I were the only customers on a hot afternoon, but they took us out for the full 1 1/2 hour tour on a 30-40 person pontoon. The scenery was awesome. Hit the trifecta with close-by sightings of...More
Our family loves visiting National Parks and we were excited about visiting the Gulf Coast area of Everglades National Park in Everglades City. There isn’t much to do in this section of the park other than take a boat ride around the 10,000 Islands area...More
Leisurely boat ride in 10,000 Islands area of Everglades NP. Were fortunate to see dolphins and a manatee, but tide was low and couldn’t get into some places. This area was hard hit by hurricane Irma so it is good to see it open again....More

I'd definitely choose the National Park over the commercial boat tours. We chose the mangrove tour over the airboat. It's a quiet little boat, there were only four of us on our tour. We saw manatees, and boating under the canopy of the mangroves was far more interesting to us. The airboat tour is great too, if that's what you're after. commercial boats are not allowed in the National Park so you won't see other boats scaring off the animals. Get up early and go on the first airboat tour. We were told it's the best tour of the day as far as seeing wildlife.
