Wasn't so amazing that it's worth the drive if you're pressed for time - fine if you have the time to see it. Best if you can hike to see the ancient village nestled in the mountain. It's a 3 hour round trip hike and it looks scarier from the look out point than the hike actually is. Guide and... More

Really good views - you can take a relatively easy walk to the abandoned village about 1 hour each way which takes a path along the side of the ravine below the lip. Fascinating to see how people lived only a few years ago. Not one for anyone with a problem with heights though.

Went over Christmas. Not that easy to find the start but well worth it. Went with 5 fit adults and it took 4 hours including stops for picnic and exploring the ruined village and its reservoir above. Not for those with a fear of heights. Path no major gradients but many vertiginous drops off the path with no barriers. Brilliant.

I've been up the mountain to walk the canyon three times - once with a guide, once in my Seat Altea and finally in an SUV. The road leading up to the top is a great drive, although the time I took my Seat the drive was tricky to say the least - while doable, I don't recommend going up... More

This is just an incredible place made by nature. You get a shock when looking down to the bottom of this amazing canyon.

It's a lovely walk even for people suffering from vertigo. It actually looks much worse than it is :) The way there is mostly downhill so spare some energy for the way back. At the end, where the yellow/red signs finish, you can still carry on about 10 minutes to reach the natural pool. The way is not marked but... More

An easy track which drops about 200 metres over its length and takes you to abandoned villages and steep drops through the valley. Goats in trees, vultures and lizards. Not to be missed.

We arrived at Wadi Ghul about 11am. We would have liked to do the walk, but didn't have the time. Another couple had arrived before us and were driving a sedan. On this occasion they were ok, but in slightly different conditions could have faced problems. There was a woman at the beginning/end of the trail selling cold drinks and... More

It is better to drive 4wd car for this destination. Eventhough We saw many sedan also going up to the top. It is better to stay on the mountain. There are many accomodations available there. We didn't book it that time and We felt regret that. This since it is enjoyable there with cool temperature. It is very good for... More
