Great Beach that isn't crowded

A lot of the beaches in the Venice/Englewood area have its fair share of people doing beach things. Manasota truly feels like a beach no one knows about.

This is a small intimate beach with lots of small shells and dark, hot sand. Lot's of shell seekers and interesting people. Not a very deep beach (unlike Clearwater or Siesta Key). Lots of outdoor bars across from the beach. Also, in September - October lots of Red Tide where one can hardly breathe from the stench of fish. I... More

This has to be one of the most beautiful, unspoiled beaches on Florida's west coast. The beach shelves gently into the warm gulf waters and is ideal for children and adults alike. You can while away the hours just watching the wildlife and the sunsets here are amazing!

Went in the past and it was excelent. Plan on arriving early because only a limited number of parking spaces. This time me the Red Tide was in and the beach was littered with dead fish and crabs.

One of our favorite Beaches; good for walking beach. Today was a top 10 weather Beach Day! If you like to find shark teeth or just play on the beach.

We stayed near Englewood to be near Manasota Key. It is a lovely beach with good facilities at the car park area. We usually love our time there. However when we ventured down for our first session you could see the effects of the Red Tide. There were hundreds of dead and dying fish on the beach. The smell was... More
