This beach is not a typical beach. The sand is course and the shells are full of little sharks teeth. They are fossilized teeth that are typically black from the fossilization. It is a beautiful beach with clear water. My family has been to this...More

Although I prefer Englewood Beach, Manasota beach has it's own charm also. During "Season" it is not as crowed & has plenty of parking. Any beach on the Key is a great place to be!!

We saw a pod of manatees just circling in the pass as we stood in the clear water. There are lots of shells and we found shark teeth too. Great place for the family and fishing was fun. We are going back next year.

This beach was really nice and much quieter than siesta key. We panned for shark teeth and found several. The water was a tad deeper and cooler here which was great with 90 degree water temps and air temps feeling like 105 degrees. Lifeguard present...More

The Tom Adams drawbridge used to access the south end beach is closed this week for upgrades. One needs to access the beach from the north end of the key through this weekend.

I would go up I-75 and take the Venice, Jacaranda Exit , I believe it is 193. Go all the way on this Exit and when you reach the end turn left and head toward Englewood and at the second set of lights take the Manasota Key... More
