Loved, loved, loved! The ferry captain gave us an informative ride. We saw dolphins, pelicans from the boat. We found sand dollars, sea stars, conch, hermit crabs, fish, turtles on Caladesi and so many beautiful shells! It's such a relaxing beautiful beach. If you don't...More

Nice boat ride to a lightly used very beautiful island beach. The boat ride cost some money but in my opinion, very reasonable and well worth the extra expense.

It gets a little pricey if you have to take a ferry over and rent beach gear. That said, it is a pretty beach with long nature trail.

I visited Caladese Island last week and it was almost indescribable. Beautiful with sands like an Oasis. The island was not very crowded and the waters were clear and topical island like. I would like to keep it a secret but everyone should have a...More

We wanted to get away from the crowded public beach. The ferry ride over to the island was fun too. Go early morning so you have time to walk down the beach for some peace and quiet. The water was clear. We found some shells...More

We loved visiting Caladesi Island. We went snorkeling right off the shore and I had a manatee within 5 feet of me! We also went kayaking (bring bug spray if you are going through the mangroves!). If you have your own I would recommend bringing...More

Caladasi Island is beautiful, it is like being in paradise, the ferry across is $14 for adults and a bit cheaper for kids but is worth it. Upon arrival there is a cabin which serves hot food, drinks etc, there are changing rooms & toilets...More

This island is so beautiful and quiet! I had a portion of a beach pretty much to myself! The ferry is $14 per adult, but it's worth it. You get 4 hours to spend on the island. There is a long nature trail that I...More

I find the water a little murky for me on the west coast. Not as clear as the east coast. But the waves on the west coast are not big so it would be good for mild snorkeling. They might even score some great shells before... More

No, not on Caladesi- it's a nature preserve- they keep it quite minimal; I am not even sure Honeymoon Island has one- Seems to me that the are for Clearwater/St.Pete- tourist beaches.🖤🖤Xx
