Very nice to walk the boardwalk, see the fishing boats come in and enjoy the views. Many restaurants and shops and activities for young and old.

Excellent place to spend the day - eat, shop, take a cruise, water taxi, sit and watch, especially watch the sunset.

Destin claims to have the world's largest fishing fleet. It may be so. More than 150 charter boats and, by my count, at least 7 party boats. If you have a full party, it is easy to charter any of the boats. If not, if...More

We ate dinner at a few local restaurants, and walked the boardwalk area. In the evening, the activities wind down and there isn't as much open (at least at this time of year). Still enjoyable if you like the fishing and boating ambiance.

We had a fun time here. Nice area to stroll around and relax. The restaurants have great views on the harbor to watch come and go. Lots to see and do.

Very crowded but lots of fun. Good music and great oysters. Bartender made good margaritas. Would recommend the Boathouse to all ages (except children).

It's like a mini carnival atmosphere past margaritaville! Who knew? Food trucks, live music and activities for the kids. There's a zip line as well.

The harbor and adjacent Harborwalk village make a nice day trip. We saw a lot of beautiful boats and a couple pods of dolphins.

The closest major airport would be VPS. Valparaiso-Fort Walton Beach. Destin has a private airport right now.

The marina is on the west end of the island before the bridge. We were there for Destin Snorkel and it was great. The Captain knew where the Dolphins were and they were magical. Parasailing, boating, a bounce house in the... More

Hi Nursdeb, My best recommendation would be to browse the docks and ask anyone who may be working there or check with some realtors. Some private docks may be open, but without knowing who to contact, that may be a bit... More
