Wakodahatchee Wetlands is a fantastic nature place for birders, photographers, and nature lovers. I liked it better than Green Cay, which is nearby. Green Cay had a lot of people using the boardwalk as their gym – very noisy and rude.
From an elevated boardwalk,...More
Great to have this beautiful nature resource (and the nearby Green Cay which is larger) where visitors can see a wide array of birds, turtles, fish, iguanas, alligators, and we even saw a real Bobcat once. Great photo opportunities and just a glorious place right...More
This is a great facility for anyone who wants to take a walk and see birds and wildlife thriving in their natural habitat. The Water Utility Authority did a great job and a huge service to the public by creating this wetland park.
Early morning beautiful walk. Wear bug spray and sunscreen. Easy walk and sights are wonderful. Lots of vegetation and birds and reptiles. We saw baby alligators and much more. Great walking whether with young children, teens, friends or solo. A definite activity if you are...More
It's great walking above the water and seeing an undisturbed art of nature. Saw plants. birds, baby alligators with mom (buried in the mud), and nests awaiting springtime occupants. Having bathroom facilities finally makes this walk ideal.

There is a parking lot that usually is large enough for everyone... The exception seems to be spring break and other times when lots of visitors from the north are present. Even then, a line forms for the parking lot, and so far, the longest wait we've experienced to get a space has been twenty minutes.
