Wakodahatchee Wetlands is a fantastic nature place for birders, photographers, and nature lovers. I liked it better than Green Cay, which is nearby. Green Cay had a lot of people using the boardwalk as their gym – very noisy and rude. From an elevated boardwalk,...More

This is a great facility for anyone who wants to take a walk and see birds and wildlife thriving in their natural habitat. The Water Utility Authority did a great job and a huge service to the public by creating this wetland park.

It's great walking above the water and seeing an undisturbed art of nature. Saw plants. birds, baby alligators with mom (buried in the mud), and nests awaiting springtime occupants. Having bathroom facilities finally makes this walk ideal.

Easy parking, short walk (handicapped accessible), and full of birds and critters. Especially great in the early morning and late afternoon.

This man-made bird refuge attracts hundreds of nesting birds - great blue herons, anhingas, egrets and wood storks - in the Spring. They nest in the trees on small islands, some of which are as close as a yard or two away. Awesome photo ops!...More

We enjoyed our walk through the Wetlands. The walkways are in excellent shape. Clean bathrooms next to the parking lot. We didn't see much in the way of flowers as it is late in the season. We did see iguanas, birds, turtles. I'd definitely go...More
