Great time.

Enjoyed this place very much. Lots of trails and lakes and even a few man made water falls that were very cool.

A little dissapointing in that the water level was down in the lake which made a less-than-perfect visual. After being in place 40 years, I had expected the gardens to be dramatically more mature. Many different settings with water features, natural sounds and raked gardens. Had a late lunch at the cafe - unimpressive food, less than impressive service.

In the area for a wedding - during some down time went to the morioka a Japanese gardens. We were extremely impressed with the style of the gardens - several different Japanese styles in one park along with great history stories. We then took the opportunity for a wonderful lunch in the museum restaurant - an outstanding bento box. Truly... More

Don't miss the Japanese tea ceremony. A highlight! It costs a little extra, but well worth it. Restaurant on site is very nice. Good food at reasonable prices.

If you have kids, this place is an absolute gem. I have family who are members, and we never miss going when visiting Florida. The restaurant is reasonably priced, the food terrific and the trail through the gardens is a spiritually restful treat. My kids have been going since they're babies and they never get tired of the place.

We had the pleasure of spending about 3 1/2 hours here one afternoon. It was a fairly hot day but there was just the right combination of open areas and shade. We could have spent even more time, it would be a great place to bring a book and sit and enjoy the atmosphere. When we went the lake was... More

Plan about two hours to visit here. The museum itself is dated but the gardens are awesome. bonsai on display. Well maintained, really kind staff. We have visited many times. .

Morikami has it all: history, walking, and gorgeous landscaping. This is a great activity when the weather does not say, "Beach!"

We hadn't heard about this lovely, peaceful garden until we were already in Florida and found it listed on a map. It is very beautiful and well worth the trip if you have any sensitivity to aesthetics. Views from almost very angle. There are many benches, which I appreciated, but best to take your own water with you. Leave the... More

Morikami is a unique experience. Not only historical, but incredibly beautiful and tranquil. A walk around and through the gardens display different periods of Japanese garden culture as well as the significance of the period. If you love being outdoors, this is a great place for a quiet, enjoyable experience. Weekdays early in the day are best - not crowded... More
